Reporting Line: IVD Divisional Coordinator

A.    Background

Immunization Field Monitors (IFMs) will be deployed to identify zero dose and under immunized children in missed and underserved communities by conducting RCA in the Districts and City Corporations and ensure vaccination. They will support for identification of hard to reach and high-risk areas and as low performed areas and to contribute for improving routine immunization coverage.


Job Responsibilities

A.    Major Responsibilities 

§  Validate low performing pockets as identified during routine/supplementary immunization activities/VPD outbreak areas/areas and ensure inclusion of such areas in routine Immunization micro-plans

§  Conduct concurrent house to house and session site monitoring in especially in selected hard to reach/ high-risk areas on regular basis using standard monitoring tools and document the reasons for dropouts (zero dose and under vaccinated) and share feedback

§  Assist collection and collation of information related to routine immunization activities, required to support programmatic decision making for routine immunization strengthening

§  Support and facilitate community awareness and mobilization activities through relevant partners

§  Assist with arrangements for immunization related meeting in assigned District and or City Corporation and provide support to review routine EPI and vaccine preventable diseases surveillance.

§  Sensitize health workers for the notification of AFP, AEFI, Measles and other EPI vaccine preventable diseases and to participate active case search in the community if required

§  Travel extensively 80% of working time in the field especially in hard to reach and high-risk areas.

§  To support any other tasks assigned by supervisor.


Compensation and Other Benefits

A.    Required Qualifications:

Education:

         Essential: Graduate degree from a recognized university preferably in field of science or sociology or another related fields.

         Desirable: Motorbike driving License

 

Experience:

         Essential: At least 2 years of working experience in the area of field monitoring activities. 

         Desirable : Relevant working experience in EPI, public health, social work, NGO, community development.

Languages:

Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English

B.    Consultancy Costs:

Monthly salary:  Each IFM will get BDT 46,289 per month.

C.     Administrative Issues:

Each IFM will be responsible to pay all taxes as per government rules and regulations. E-Zone will make statutory deductions towards income tax as per government rules and regulations.

Education Level: Bachelor/ Honors
Education Degree: Bachelor of Social Science
Education Major: Science

Or

Education Level: Bachelor/ Honors
Education Degree: Bachelor of Social Science (BSS)
Education Major: Sociology
