Position: Business Development Officer (BDO) – Merchant Business

We are hiring for Upay:

To acquire new PRAs, merchants, and upcoming B2B channel partners for the Upay payment ecosystem, ensure QR payment acceptance activation, manage merchant onboarding compliance, and drive transaction growth through regular engagement, support, and relationship management with merchants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and onboard new merchants and Super-Agent.
• Deploy and activate upay Merchant QR and other POSMs.
• Conduct merchant training and awareness sessions.
• Submit daily and monthly performance reports.
• Maintain regular contact with merchants and ensure monthly transactions.
• Monitor merchant & Super-Agent activity and transaction growth.
• Resolve merchant & Super-Agent issues and maintain relationships.
• Resolve merchant complaints and coordinate with support teams.
• Build long-term relationships to improve merchant retention.
• Maintain accurate merchant records & submit daily sales reports, activity updates.
• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank and company guidelines.

Year of Experience         

1–2 years of experience in: Corporate Sales, Payroll Business, MFS, Banking Operations, Relationship Management

Educational Requirements         

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities        

·        Knowledge: Merchant acquiring, QR payments, Distribution management, Market development

·        Skill: Sales leadership, Negotiation, Territory planning

·        Ability: Achieve acquisition targets, Build merchant relationships

Any specific industry experience & Skill:              

Banking Card Sales, PSO, Digital Banking
