 Medical Technologist (Lab) 

Duty Station:  Civil Surgeon Office, Bandarban

Contract Duration: Up to 31 December 2025. There is possibility of further extension of the tenure subject to availability of funding and satisfactory performance.

Job Responsibilities

A. Scope of Services:

Under the guidance of Line Director, CDC, DGHS and Deputy Program Manager, National Malaria Elimination Program, Directorate General of Health Services, the Medical Technologist (Lab) will work under Civil Surgeon Bandar and Surveillance Medical Officer, Bandarban. The incumbent will perform the following functions:

·    Responsible for the implementation of mobile clinics laboratory services in the remote areas of Bandarban.

·         Conduct mobile clinic weekly at selected areas.

·         Maintain and monitor the use of equipment, supplies, medicine and consumables.

·         Liaise with MOH&FW staff and NGOs for coordination of health activities.

·         Cross check slides and RDT done by NGO Laboratory as and when needed.

·         Document the progress of the project by reports.

·         Inform the lab service report to Surveillance Medical Officer on regular basis.

·         Undertake any other activities as assigned by the Line Director, CDC and the Supervisors.


Compensation and Other Benefits

B. Payment:

The Medical Technologist (Lab) will get BDT 58,633 (BD-fifty-eight thousand six hundred thirty-three) (Taxable)

C. Required Qualifications and Experience:

        Diploma in Laboratory Technology from Government recognized Medical Institution

        At least 2 years’ field experience in rural Primary Health Care Services

        Skilled in spoken and written English and ability of report writing will be added value

        Skilled with computers and with Microsoft Office

        Previous experience in working with DGHS projects will be added value
